The School Performance Absence Return 2006/07 stated that 234 children of COMPULSORY school age had an AUTHORISED absent rate of 4.6%. The UNAUTHORISED absent rate 06/07 was 0.4%.

It is important that you inform the school, preferably in writing, of the reason for absence. If the school has not been informed of the reason for absence on return to school, the children will be issued with a letter which must be completed and returned promptly.

Holiday Leave

It is necessary for the approval of the School Governors to be obtained to a child's absence from school before the holiday commences.
