Our School

Welcome to St Thomas of Canterbury!

Visitors to the school always comment on how friendly, polite, caring and happy our children are - what a credit to their parents!

We have 9 classes, including the Nursery, with children ranging from 3 to 11 years.

Every Tuesday morning we have either a Mass for the Key Stage 2 classes or a service for the Key Stage 1 and Foundation Stage children. Parents are warmly invited to attend and take part in our Liturgical celebrations.

Every Friday afternoon there is either a Class or Celebration Assembly, to which you are again, warmly invited. Class assemblies are presented by each class group in turn and are usually based on the current R.E. topic. During Celebration assemblies, certificates are awarded for any number of reasons, ranging from sporting activities to showing our appreciation for an act of kindness!

We have many other events throughout the year, such as the Infant Nativity Play, the Passion Service held by children in Years 4 and 5, the Year 6 production and, of course, our Sports Day, which begins with races at 2 pm and continues with a disco and BBQ until 8 pm! There are other events organised by our fabulous PTA, which will be advertised on the front page of the website, not least of which is our monthly coffee morning - 2nd Thursday of the month, 9 - 10 am in the hall.

Every class has its own page on our website, so do have a browse and see what they've all been up to!
